Hey Fellas.. Just converted my EB To EL wiring whole loom out of a Wagon Ignition barrel, dash cluster and bcm.. But for some reason it would crank over for 4 Seconds then will start clicking like a flat battery..
Parker lights only work but don't have EL stalk connected as of yet. doesn't light the odo as well so it's a bit weird.. I would guess it could be something I might not have connected but I did do most of what I could see.. Airbag isn't connected but module still is, The light comes on randomly so I'm not sure if that could mean a earth or bad connection. Haven't tried roll starting it but might try that tomorrow hoping it is just the starter motor is one of the issues. Smart lock light seems to flash as normal with ignition off, turn it on and it goes out then lights up for second then goes off which I think is normal.. And I would think Smartlock either stops starter completely or stops injection. Either I just done f**k up at wiring or this car either is out too f**k wiring looms and put me off E-Series had nothing but stupid issues with this thing but I can't put myself to give up on it.. Could be the stupidest thing I haven't done or checked would definitely appreciate if someone can give me some pointers or has came across the same sort of issues.. It would definitely help me in this moment.. Thank you! |

Haven't got door switches connected so only reason I think Inteior should not work also dash cluster, BCM, Dash earth and ecu earth, speed module, airbag module and fuses/relay is the only connected from the El dash so Im not sure If something unplugged could drain under cranking...
Doesn't seem like a smart lock or bcm issue... It still gets spark and fuel it just only cranks like a dead battery like it is draining power when cranking.. Also no low or high beam, so could be relay? Or a bad earth? Might try make my own starter switch to a button just to eliminate a starter relay or connection issue... Can only see it being -What ever is not connected in body loom is draining power. -Starter relay or Others. Also under bonnet fuses -Earth or bad connection Seems weird that it cranked fine before it was taken out but does this soon as a swap it, only leads it more too a earth I forgot or a something in body loom not connected |

Did you connect the painful earth from the loom to the LHS bell housing bolt?
