I need some info on a el Dissy to give to my tuner . He's not sure what ignition to select .
Does 36 degrees have anything to do with the Dissy .?

your tuner is probably asking about trigger options.

the distributor outputs one pulse per ignition event at 10* BTDC. depending on what ecu hes planning on using he will need to set it up accordingly and verify it is correct before and after the ecu is installed

No, it has to do with the EF 6 cyl crank sensor and harmonic balancer - has 36 teeth, with one of those absent to indicate TDC of cyl 1.

ah ok..... in all honesty id advise against using an interceptor, and use a full stand alone ecu, you will save a lot of headaches in doing it this way

Now I know what to ask .

There's trigger edge I can select rising or falling . I'm certain it uses falling .
And trigger type . I'm guessing 36 minus 1 motronic (ford) is the one ?

for a dizzy set up the trigger should be set to rising.

as for the trigger type that 36-1 is for ef or au with crank sensor it means 36 teeth with 1 missing..

what other settings is there to choose from?
