Both my low beam H4's are out in the EL Ghia.
Need to check the fuse, but not sure which one it is/where it is.

Thanks guys.

Fuse box up near the header tank and battery from memory?

Do your high beams work when the headlights don't? If you have no lights at all it might be the circuit breaker for the headlight circuit. I replaced mine with a Jaycar one for $12. Not sure if EL's have this though...

If it is just the low beams it might be a faulty relay near the battery as Matt said.

Might be the relay then.

That's what is under my bonnet in regards to relays. Lucky I labeled them because Ford didn't. Just check the relay operation or swap the horn one out, just check if it is the same rating. If it isn't the relay, I would be checking connections.

Hi there,
I have a problem with my Ford Falcon EF.
The headlights aren't working - low and high beams. The park lights come on. A light does not even illuminate on the dash cluster for high beam. Have tried everything possible, checked the globes (replaced) ok, checked the relays (replaced) ok, checked the circuit breaker (replaced) ok. Checked for power with a test light at the globe connection - no power, while the headlight switch is on.

Help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind Regards, Grant.

Do you have power at the headlight switch?

Thanks for your help

There is power on the white with black trace wire (switching wire) FYI I'm talking about coupling on the back of the switch. No other wires have power :(

Also I bought another switch from the wreckers and still no luck

The other thing is I used to hear a click followed by a sound that sounded like a knock coming from inside the dash. It still has that click sound, but no knock. Not sure if that helps :)

GrantEF2014 - did you check for power feeding into circuit breaker -does hi beam work if you use hi beam flash -white with black trace wire should be park light relay circuit -
if hi flash works circuit breaker is working - low beam relay is one marked lights in EVXR6 pics -is your dipper/combination switch plug connected?

better with your own thread so answer are relevant to question without being overlooked as an old thread............
