Hi,
I have a Ford AUII. How does one programme the Remote Keys to work. I've looked at the post regarding BA's I done what was said, and still the remote keys don't work, doors don't cycle . yes, I did press the Rear Demister button 3 times within 5 seconds. Am I doing something wrong or are AUII's have a different way to be programmed? Cheers |

G'day I'm sure I did.
Procedure I used is this 1. Close all doors. 2. Turn key to ACC 3. Press demister button 3 times within 5 seconds 4. Press "Open door icon" on remote. Doors should cycle open and close 5. Repeat step for second remote. 6. Good to go. Or should I pressing the demister button as in 3 cycles within 5 seconds i.e. Press 1 light on, press 2 light off, press 3 light on, press 4 light off, press 5 light on, press 6 light off , within 5 seconds. |

Its just the 3 fast presses in 5 seconds press press press The door locks should cycle to indicate learning mode has been entered. try doing what you have but waiting 5 or 10 seconds before you press any buttons on the remotes.

Hi,
Ok, i'll do that next time (tomorrow morning). Question regarding ACC. Is that the position prior start as in run? The ACC position indicator is either worn off or is not marked on my ignition switch. Cheers |

@ TedW,
Thanks for your message. I assume lock position is when the key can be withdrawn. I'm sure I had the key in acc position but will double check again. Sorry, I don't know what "reds" is Central locking works with the door key and opens up with the old remote key. The old remote key's lock button no longer works. The cradle that holds the battery in position broke off sometime ago. I've been trying to get those 2 new remote keys trained to work properly. |

Ignition Lock has 4 positions;
1) Off - Locked (key can be removed) no power on. 2) Acc - Accessories (key cannot be removed) power to accessories, radio, power windows etc. 3) Ignition on - Reds. Power to engine components, Dash warning lights are on, hence to reference to "REDS". 4) Start - starter motor on. Momentary contact, springs back to Ignition on when released. |

@ SWC,
Thanks for clarification. Just to let everyone else know, finally got the two remote keys trained. I don't know why it did not work previously but this time with the additional pause of about 10 seconds, doors cycled and remote keys tuned. Thanks for your help. Cheers |
