This is a weird one. When i turn my car off (au xr8) . Everything shuts down as normal but car keeps running, dash lights stay on aswell as tail lights. So have to stall the car and disconnect the battery. As soon as i reconnect dash lights and tail lights comes back on.not sure if this is a barrel or computer problem.any help would be greatly appreciated.

Start with the easy stuff...

AU should have an "EEC" or similar labelled relay in the fuse box under the bonnet... Does it stall when you pull it out while running? Try swapping that relay in case the contacts have welded together...

Thinking maybe when you key off, the relay can't open because it's welded...

Cheers,
Tim

I would be checking the wiring in the column and the ignition barrel.
