Was it the wiring harness you replaced or did you install a new/used column. How did you try to reprogram the key? The keys on the AU S2 cannot be programmed my leaving the ignition on like in the old E series reprogramming keys generally requires a trip to ford or a decent auto elect with the right scan tool. IF you have put in a new/second hand column you SHOULD be able to use your key cylinder out of your original column in the new column to get you going again. To remove key cylinders (check on your old one first) there should be a brass pin in the side of the column on the key side its only about 3mm round (its in a bugger of a spot to get to and see on the car) if you find and see that switch your key to acc press the little pin in you may need to "jiggle" the key and cylinder around a little and it should slip out installation is the same process. DO NOT SWITCH BACK OR LET YOUR COLUMN SWITCH BACK TO FROM ACC TO LOCK YOU WILL RUIN THE COLUMN as it will shoot the locking pin into the column permanently disabling it Hope this is of some help

just wiring harness replaced. Disconnected battery while i worked on it. Removed steering column so as i could work on harness. not sure if ICC code would have anything to do with it not starting. Have put the original key and barrel back in?

The ICC does not require a code on the BA.
It should dissappear once the car starts.

Quiet common for it to read code for a few seconds after a battery disconnect switching to ignition usually solves the issue the "code" in these is sent and received {USERNAME} wrote: just wiring harness replaced. Have put the original key and barrel back in? over the CAN bus so is always stored in the BCM unless you change the ICC Sounds like its not reading the key to disable the security. Everything been hooked back in the column and under the dash? the little green plug is plugged into the reader around the key cylinder? all the lights coming on the dash when you switch to ignition?

all fuses intact? Almost sounds like there is something wrong in the ignition switch and the loom you have fixed.
seems to me its not making contact where it should in the switch. EDIT check your ignition fusable link under the bonnet in the box there
