only option is ford as if you replace the barrel reader and bcm it will need programming anyway so go to a key cutter that can do transponder keys get one cut about $130 IIRC and ford should be able to make it work not sure how much they charge though

I know this thread is a bit old but for future reference.
Locksmiths can copy your existing key and provide you with a cloned key. Your car will not need re-programming at all. Making keys this way means there are no limits to the number of keys you can have for your vehicle. Your vehicle can normally only remember a maximum of 4 unique keys (enough for most of us) Of course this does not stop whoever has the lost key coming back and steeling your ride. To prevent this, again a locksmith can re-program your car, re-code your locks or just do the later and swap your transponder chip to the new key if you want to save a few dollars. If your car is insured and you have lost keys you are obligated to re-code locks and re-program or if vehicle is stolen with the lost key your insurance will be void.
