You're not giving much away are you? No car model? No engine type? No real information about the MSD system...

Wouldn't the best people to ask be MSD? Tell them what you have and see if they can recommend a system?

What's wrong with whatever ignition system you're running now?

Other than that just throw us a bone otherwise you're not going to get much help with just that one sentence you posted...

Cheers,
Tim

As Tim said, more information given out will lead to more and correct info back.

For all I know you want to fit an MSD system to a Hyundi Getz.

I didn't type it up because it's on the side under my name but it's a na2 fairlane with the 3.9 and there's nothing wrong with the ignition system i have just want to get a better spark. I'll be running iridium spark plugs in the next few weeks after i get the gearbox serviced and my extractors and cat fitted.

Just because you have a car mention under your name does not mean that is what you are asking about.

Anyway, if the motor is stock just use a Genuine Bosch Coil. It will supply all the spark you need for what you have. Ensure that your dizzy cap and rotor button are in good condition as well as your leads.

Ive replaced the coil and moved it so its in a cooler spot, ive replaced the leads, dizzy cap and rotor and I dont have the timing advanced.

AU are fitted with a coilpack, NA has a dizzy and a single coil. Two different animals.

Probably runs better because his coil was stuffed. If you want to put an MSD on, go ahead.

Don't expect any real increases.

SWC... Sounds more it's a mind over matter kind of affair... Should put one on my lawn mower... Might mow the lawns in half the time just because it's MSD and all race cars run MSD... I've lost interest trying to "advise"... He's best to ring MSD and pay them 6 months wages for it over the phone and get advice of them... They're sales people will ensure he gets something anyway...

Cheers,
Tim
