First time poster, long time lurker (2010). By no means am I mechanic.

I recently bought an NF Fairlane, which needs some TLC. Engine bay is a bit of a mess.

I've got a climate control unit in my NF Fairlane which seems to intermittently work, until lately.

It has a dodgy heater tape line at the moment (falls off).

I found by reconnecting it, the CC unit would work. Doesn't seem to fix it anymore. Not sure if related to vacuum lines?

Display LED's seem OK.

Anyway, I've done a search on the forums to no avail. I understand its a common problem.

I'm handy with a soldering iron, if that helps.
