Ok so i picked up a NF sportsman today but upon driving it home i noticed a few things that didnt seems right.
1. The footwell/door/roof lights dont come on when the doors are open, but if i manually put them on they work. Does it sound like maybe someone has tampered with it? Could the alarm have something to do with it?
& 2. the aftermarket stereo all the speakers are somehow set to front and the factory subwoofer is set the be a rear speaker, however that works, is there a simple way i can connect it all up so it all works fairly similar to factory?

Being a sportsman it will have a factory amp and all the plugs to do it properly if you have a stereo with an rca out. Sounds as though some fool has done a hackjob on an aftermarket stereo which didn't. it is not a big problem just a fiddly one to get sorted.

As for the lights i would check if all the switch things in the door jams are working and sliding in and out freely maybe one is stuck. Im not sure as i have never had that problem in my nc.

yea the lights I see as a big luxury thing for the car that i wont to work. So far i've only had a spare hour and have checked all the door switches. Thats all ive had time for and i've hunted around for loose wiring but i only had a quick look so on the weekend ill just have to go through it more thoroughly.

It should have a Tickford head and a Green rocker cover too.

Ok so far i've fixed up the stereo wiring it just just back to front, so no big issue there easy fix.

But today when i came out to the car all the interior lights came on after i opened the door. So i closed and opened the door to check if it was functioning correctly and sure enough after 10 minutes of opening/locking and closing it seemed to be the way it should. But now its back to how when I first got the car the light now no longer come on when they should unless i manually turn them on.Could there be something faulty like a sensor??? I've gone around and check every door light switch and there all good.

First thing this weekend I'm going to check out the Bem/bcm. Apparently it controls the lights coming on/dimming....or so I've been told.

Ok so I had some spare time this arvo. Ends up so far looking like the bem causing the issue. I filled it out and gave it a clean and now it's all good interior lights are working. I
I'm putting it down to a loose or dodgy connection
