My car will only stay running when it wants to. It will start but will try to stall (it like shutters), the accelerator just feels as if its going straight to the floor. But other times it will just start. And the latest thing is it started fine but just stalled, I tried to start it and it wouldnt so I turned everything off and gave it a few minutes. And it just started. And im pretty sure the hotter it gets the more it stalls or wont start.

I have electrical problems, my stereo went but then started working again, then my gas/petrol switch, now my odometer light. Its as if its moving from the left to the right.

Any ideas? Im thinking maybe the coil, and if so how much are they roughly?

seems like a bad earth. make sure all the battery earths are tight especially the body earth.

I was already aware of the bad earth, but could that be causing the issue with starting my car?

it's just the way you described your electrical gremlins. i had a el on gas and had problems with it starting then conking out. turned out bad earths were causing the relays for the lpg on the tank and the fuel pump to fail.
