Wow. I MUST have smoked to much weed in the early 80s. After recent Auto trans problem I see a guy put a scanner on car and think I gotta have one of those. Stupidly after reading ebay the guiding light of truth. I bought an OBD2 comlpiant devise. Great. Now someone is reading this right now thinking, Dummy!!!!!. I know OK. Now what do I do. send it back. Get a connector or can someone recoment whats the one to Have??????... I Need Help again. Darren. I promise if someone answers Il do and article on XG XH Doors and there restoration and upkeep.

Your XH does not and cannot have an OBD2 port. AU was the first Australian Ford to have them, BA was the first Australian Ford that were comms compliant. Your going to need to look at an E series code reader to get any fault codes out of the ECU.
Again, OBD reader is useless for your car.

For my EL I use some aligator clips to short the two pins on the left, and a $3 LED test light from Jaycar to get the codes out. Much cheaper than a OBD scanner that isn't compatible
