Does anyone know who stocks replacement parts for the Mitsubishi Built Alternators that are on the Ford AUII?

check cost of parts to new unit first as I noticed sliprings and brushes are worn as well - remove bearings carefully clean and re grease and recheck - reg MAY be ok oil causes wear -brushes and s/ring until it looses circuit - replace hose at power steer pump |

TedW,
Thanks for that info, will do so next two days. New Alternator is a bit pricey as I'm on a tight budget. Getting those bearings and slip ring off will be a challenge. I'll get another Voltage Regulator since I've removed it from the unit. I've replaced that High Pressure power hose about a year and half ago, surely would have expected it to last a lot longer, could not see any oil leaks from there. Yet I have noticed oil somehow getting onto the alternator again. I have no idea what is referred to as Swivel Link on the power steering pump, oil must come out of the seal or hose whilst pump is working. I'll replace the hose again and probably look for another power steering pump in case its leaky. Cheers |
