could any one please tell me how to reprogram my remote for the central locking as i have a new ecu and bcm and now my remote dont work ive heard of a few different ways and tried it in previous cars but it never worked

ignition off switch to acc
press and release the demister3 times within 5 seconds
the locks will lock.
now press the door button on the remote. you have learned your remote
