Hi,
I am thinking of installing a sub and amp in the location where the genuine sub would be located and hooking it up to my stereo, does anyone know if the mounting location is all there for the amp in a fairlane that did not come with it also what size sub i will need to fit in the place the original one is installed. Regards Barry

Stock amp for the premium sound is mounted on the right hand side of the boot, behind the wheel arch. There may or may not be carpet trim covering mountings.

8" Sub is the size of the stock and the hole, however you use a 10" sub mounted from the underside with a spacer. Also remember that the stock subs were of "free-air" design and made for large enclosures...ie your boot is your enclosure. If you get a sub made for a small enclosure, you may not get the best sound out of the speaker.
If you plan on putting an 8" sub that requires a small box, you can try and build it into the underside of the parcel shelf. You can mount the amps on the side of the boot walls or even to the back of the seat.
