Can someone tell me where under the dashboard I can find the switch for the igntion in my car (94 Ford Falcon EF auto) so I can replace it? If the car won't start after that, I'm going after the starter solenoid next. Thanks!

Have you tried the Starter Relay?
On an EA/EB up til 1992 has a switch that can be replaced which is on the back of the Ignition switch housing on the Steering column which you can access by taking off the shrouds on the steering column. From the 10th month 1992 onwards you will need to replace the whole switch housing and that is a little bit of a pain because, the unit is held onto the column by a sheer bolt and can be quite an a*** to remove. The Starter relay is on the side of the inner skirt if I remember correctly? I would check for that first as getting the starter out is also a pain in the a***. |
