I just want to check cause its been a damn long time since I have done it...but to check the alternator output, red terminal on the meter goes to the white (bolted) wire on the alternator and the black goes to ground on the chasis? ....and the reading should be somewhere around the 13 to 14 mark?

And to test the charge at the battery red to + and black to chasis and it should read the same yeah??
