Had my vehicle booked in for 2 and half hour test for leaks, service and aircon gas.
Result, managed to get the inside temperature to 9 degrees. Was informed there was no leaks, compressor has a slight noise (from the inside), could be bearing?. Also blower making noise, could be from debris but could not see any debris. Blower should be a lot quiter. So, now I have aircon, problem this time one of the fans appears not to work. The temperature needle use to sit on N or below, now sits on O. Previously when the aircon is engaged one of the thermo fans usually goes on, then switches off when aircon switches off as in cycling...this appears not to be the case. Is this normal or is there a problem elsewhere as in relay problem or blown fuse etc? Or, should I take it back to the aircon people? Cheers |

Update
Phoned the company that did the aircon service. I asked the question is the thermofan suppose to switch on when aircon compressor engaged. Was told yes it should be. I told them its not working. I was then told the fan must have packed it in. I informed the company, the fan was working when compressor was running previously without sufficient gas prior to service, now it's not. The company said they will get back to me. Still they have not after two phone calls chasing them up. How difficult can this be? How can I determine if indeed the fan is stuffed or still works. It worked prior to going into that place for service. but dont work when it came out. That might explain why the temp sits on "O" instead of "N" or below "N" |

Relay is stuffed. That's the cause. That company failed to return my calls.
