I just got my car back from my sister and it had a flat battery and no fuel. I charged the battery (it was pretty corroded but i cleaned it and the wires) and filled it up. It will crank but wont start. The last time it happened she apparently jump started it and it ran.
i am able to post a video or atleast a link of it trying to start if need be. |

Try hitting under the hand brake area repeatedly while cranking if that doesn't work see if u have spark. If you don't it's your tfi = replace dizzy. If you do have (proper) spark check the smartlock jewel, see what sequence is flashing in. Or leave the ignition on for half hour. Try these in whatever order you want.
Also try to hear if your fuel pump is priming.

Does your fuel pump prime when you turn the ignition to reds? |

I have narrowed it down to the battery. Its pretty old looking.. Also its been sitting on a hill for a few weeks so i dont think the fuel is getting ignited (i cant smell anything from the exhaust or engine) so theres that too. i am yet to go out and fill it but im definatly getting a new battery. could these be solutions or just clues to deeper problems... sorry for the late reply, i just had a kid
