hey guys

i have had a problem with my xh xr6 5spd since i got it.

Firstly it chews through the fuel like nothing else and it doesn't matter how hard i drive it (didn't thrash it cause of new exhaust). Secondly when changing from 1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd it starves for fuel when planting the foot. If you change quickly and plant it the car won't accelerate hard it just keeps up the rev's.

i have changed my oxygen sensor, my exaust (from exhaust manifold to tip), my injectors, my air and fuel filter and had my fuel lines checked, fuel pump checked, my intake checked and cleaned, cleaned my fuel sensors and cleaned out my fuel tank.

Im running out of ideas and money if anyone has any ideas that i haven't checked it would be a great help for any info to fix this big problem.

Thanks

Jesus even if I thrashed my XR6 for a whole tank full I would get double the Ks you get.
Have you checked the TPS (throttle position sensor)?
Also check to see if the BBM (broad band manifold) is working. While under the bonnet rev the car above 3500rpm and see if the BBM lever switches over.

ive had the injectors cleaned, replaced leads, and spark plugs left that out of the original message.

In term's of temp it never over heats and the one time it did i blew a radiator hose but yeah the temp is normal???

This problem has got me and my mechanic stuffed

heck for a fuel leak, this could be giving you low fuel pressure hence starving under heavy accelleration as well as bad fuel consumption

im takin it down to a efi specialist tommorow so hopefully he can fix it. I don't think its a leak because surely you would smell it when you stop.

Coolant temp sensor HEGO or MAP, it more than likely will be one of those 3.
