Hi all

Today I changed my fuel pump and had some 60lb injectors so I put them in , now my car won't start , I'm getting fuel up to the rail , but my question is will the injectors work on a stock ecu , I don't see why they wouldn't because au injectors work fine , I know au injectors are different but it should still start just run a bit rough or rich , tomorrow I'm goin to take my fuel rail off and see if there's fuel squirting outta the injectors ,Any suggestions / comments would be good

Cheers Corey

Mate 60lb injectors are F**k huge on a stock EF. As Dan said above, they are like 3 times the size of std injectors (e-series injectors are 18.25lb or something, AU's are 21lb)

Put your std injectors or a set of AU injectors back in and see how it goes then. Save the 60lb'ers just in case you turbo the EF and put some decent boost into it later on down the track

Lol, man with 60lb injectors, you are bucketing in the fuel and your air / fuel ratio has gone out the window!

As said, change them back ASAP and take as a lesson learnt. The computer can't "detect" that you have bigger injectors. It just sees injectors there and sends the same signals regardless of what you have there (at least in the beginning). You need to tell/program the computer that you have bigger injectors otherwise you will just be throwing bucket loads of fuel into the motor.

Might want to do some more research on how things work before you turbo your car haha

Yeah my car just started with them in and ran like s**t so I immediately turned off the motor and put the stock ones in and it started and ran fine.

60lb are huge, what ECU are you gonna use when your car is turbo?

I've got a haltech E6X so I'll be using that along with siemens 630cc injectors and Bosch 044 fuel pump.
Do you know how difficult it is to wire up the ecu?
It's got tags on the wires so I know which wires which also I have a pin out of the ecu so then wouldn't I just have to splice into the ecu wire and piggy back ?

unless you rebuild your motor and gearbox, 60Lb injectors are still huge for a 200rwkw turbo setup

I'm not to sure how to wire them up, someone will be able to help on here though. I'm just wondering if you will be able to trim the fuel back enough. The 60lb injectors are good for 700HP+

I could always get some 42lb injectors they'd suit a 220- 250 rwkw set up wouldn't they ?
