Does anyone know what the function of Pin 93 - AC Recirculate Override does.
From what I can gather it is only for NON Climate Controlled models and does not feature on the CC versions. I am installing an an AU Dual Fuel ECU into my EF and this pin is used by the LPG side for the Lockoff's. There does not appear to be an Recycle OVR signal on the AU ECU. My question is can I do without it as I have CC or is my Pinout listing wrong or incomplete? Any information would e helpfull.

Tony, the recirc overide was on EF/EL V8's, and as you say, not used on CC models.
You'll be able to leave that pin disconnected if there's any. From memory, it was either on 12v or 0v.

My XF had this.
When the car overheats it switches to recirc to reduce the load on the A/C and therefore reduce the heat at the condenser in front of the radiator. |

Thanks MADXF, that makes sense of the missing signal from the AU's ECU as that situation is probably handled better by the Run Dry cooling feature introduced into that model.

No worries. I forgot about the new overheat strategy in the AU's.
I think I see why the CC models dont have it also... CC monitors coolant temp to know when the engine is warm enough to start heating the cabin and Ford would have programmed the overheat feature into the CC as it has full control over all vents. I wonder if it would activate even when CC is turned off though. |
