When i've sold my ute i'll have some extra cash...

i've decided to turbo the XR6!! i've been looking at the snort performance stage 3 kit.. i admit that i have not had much to do with turbo setups...

so what would be the best/chepest aftermarket ECU for the job?

cheers Chris..

Ill give you the same advice I give everyone else. Talk to tuners first, find out what they like to use and how much they are going to charge. Otherwise you might get stuck with the best ECU for the job but nobody around to install or tune it.

If your going to tune it yourself the aftermarket ecu review sticky will be a big help

Depends if you are willing/able to tune and install it yourself.
If you are pretty hands on, look around at a few of the Megasquirt install threads, get a handle of it and have a crack.
If you can solder and all that (I suck at it LOL) build it yourself.
Get a WBo2 kit from techedge or innovate etc. and tune it yourself.

If you dont feel confident, find a local workshop with a good reputation and experience in turbo cars, find out what ECUs their tuner has experience with, and go from there.
ECU is only as good as the tune thats on it.
An MS2 with a good tune is going to be better then a MoTec M800 with a s**t tune.

edit: beaten by stockstandard, WHS ^^^ LOL
