Hi,

Anyone else had this problem? Since the Air con runs about 6 wires through the ECU according to the wiring diagram, anybody sussed out how to bypass and switch it on manually without ECU control?

I've got a Wolf 3d V4.

:-)

You want to run the Wolf as stand alone and not piggy back then?

Yeah, unfortunately, I was miss informed about all this..

And the standard ECU is out, and the Wolf is stand alone.

Ok, I got my Microtech in EBII.

Just buy Kit temp switch from jaycar here

http://www.jaycar.com.au/productView.as ... rm=KEYWORD

$33 and setup your self.

You will have to connect one wire where it come from A/C switch on the dash and place it on elec kit.

Did you setup Wolf 3D with wiring? Is your elec twin fan working good with Wolf 3D?

Im happy if you want me to draw wiring diagram.

Cheers

Wiring diag would be awesome..

Sound pretty easy.. whats the purpose of the temp circuit though?

Is that more climate control orientated?

And yeah.. Thermo's work fine from the wolf.

Ok just give me sometime to do with wiring diag.

When a/c is on, the temp go down cold around 14c is pretty cold so that kit will cut off the a/c compressor, while when the temp reach to 20c then back on again a/c compressor... thats just the basic.

You will have to connect the wire (wolf 3d) where the output wire to fan relay. it not hard to do with wiring.

Email me linesix@bigpond.com and when i finish with wiring diag and will email you.

This kit you can adjust temp eg go down cold 14c or 16c or 20c what ever you want. Also when i first setup a/c without kit temp. The A/C went so freezing, the guy from auto elec said that can damage the compressor with no temp controller

How come wolf 3d on EL? got turbo?

Sorry to Thread mine but Im trying to hook up my AC in my ED falcon with my EMS 4424 I have been looking at the wiring diagrams and am thinking that the easyest idea is what Troyman did, changed the ED thermastat to a EA one, and run a really.

P.s Troyman if you have the daigram for this can you send it to me please.

My stinger in my AU, has the A/C hooked up to the black/yellow wire - the input wire.
When the a/c turns on, this wire gets shorted to ground.

and under the aux settings - input control circuits, "in gear idle up" select it to up the idle by a %, when the air con turns on.

you might have to have the ISC hooked up too - not sure

i dont have a diagram of what i did, but ill try explane it.. ill try bodgy up a ms pain diagram later on..

the factory ecu recieves 12v from the aircon on off switch, the aircon wac relay is controled by the factory ecu using the factory thermister in the heater box to cycle on and off with evaporator temp..

now like me, you dont have the factory ecu anymore, so what i did,
from memory i used the 12v wire from the aircon on off switch( pin 10 on factory ecu) i ran this to an ea evaporator thermostat that has been fitted into the ed airbox as per ea..
from the thermostat it runs 12v to trigger an added relay, this relay i used to link ground/ earth instead of power, the 12v from the thermostat is to trigger the relay only..
then from the relay i run a wire to the wire that was pin 54 on the factory ecu(wac relay earth trigger), now the purpose of the relay i added was to convert a 12v trigger to a earth/ground trigger.
now the yellow/black input wire from the ems is connected to the old pin 54 wire aswell,
so when the aircon thermostat triggers the added relay to switch on the wac relay it also triggers the ems input which will raise idle rpm when the aircon compressor is on..

i hope that makes sense??
the only set back is, the ac pump dont switch off on full throttle like it did with the facory ecu..

thats exactly what I was after I can turn the A/C off when I want full throttle anyway (or via micro switch on the TB.

is this the EA thermister?

yep thats the ea one...

its easy to fit as it mounts outside the airbox with just the end of the cappillary going into the airbox touching the evaperator core..
i even left the original ed thermister in its spot just incase i return it to stock later on...

does it hve to touch the core or can it just sit inside the unit where I have pulled the old one out due to the fact i cant get my arm in there.
