I've been running the megasquirt in my EA for about 6 years now, fuel and spark. Anyway i've just bought an au and am considering putting the spare one into that but mostly just to run the injectors so it's nice and easy to tune the fuel.. will the au ecu crack the sooks if it finds the injectors arn't connected to it anymore ? I don't think my ea manual had limp home mode but the au might so i don't know what will trigger it.

it depends on what your au is ?
i did that on my au1 fairmont ghia, it cracked the s**t big time, may only be in cars with traction control? but as soon as the ecu saw no injectors it put the trans in lhm and upset/fault coded the abs and traction contol, had the same deal when it saw no coil load aswell..

Very curious about the ViPec V88, have had it suggested to me over a haltech, the haltech doesn't appear to support Drive by wire and I'm told the V88 does.
Bout to turb an eGas BF and need duel stage inj control aswell.

Have many or any peeps been using the V88 as a stand alone ECU on the BF or piggy backing?

I'd like to run stand alone if possible without hurting the hip pocket to much.

I'm looking at building an engine and going boosted in my EL, so far a mate has suggested a Microtech LT10 but looking on the site, it says its only for 4 cylinder cars?

I read the first few pages but the post is very old, is it still current information?
