I'm about to set up a wolf 3d ecu on my na EA MPI and have decided rather than pull out the stock eec and its wiring harness, I want to splice the wolf harness into the EEC harness.
Has anyone on here done this? My main reason is so i dont have to cut up wires and conectors under the bonnet, and run the large wolf harness into the eng bay.
I have a doc on the EEC wiring so I know what all the wires are, but a few of the "ford terms" are different to the "Wolf terms"... such as

36- SPOUT (spark output) - does this go to coil(-) ?
16- IGN GRD (ignition ground) - does this go to the dizzy module (-) ?
56- PIP (profile ignition pulse) - does this go to dizzy module (+) ?
22- FP (fuel pump) - is this just a trigger to go to the pumps relay?
01- KAMP (keep memory alive power) this is permanent positive?
37- V-PWR (vehicle power) also permanent positive?
05- K-PWR (key power) positive power from ignition key

The rest Im fairly sure about, just the above ones I'm not 100% about. And lastly... where is the air temp sensor mounted?

Cheers guys, I hope to get this all done in one go, but just want to be 100% befor I start chopping wires :)

Yeah, i have done something simular with a EMS 8860.
THe ECCV only runs the temp guage and fans.

I just got a harnessto connect them together, i think from the USA.
Get your self a gregories or even better, a ford repair manual. There a big help.

With my EF running a haltech they could only piggyback the standard ecu so that all the dash,fans,etc would work

I'll be looking at the same thing shortly. I imagined you'd just have a bunch of loose wires coming out of your aftermarket unit and then splice them into the wiring of your exisitng ecu (on the floor in the passenger footwell rather than in the engine bay ?)

SVO XR6 - How did yours get wired up? Do you still have the EEC-V operating the gauges etc??

I removed the ols ECU and cut the plug.
I lost the trip computer and auto only.
