g'day all
i had the battery disconected, & when reconected the airbag warning light has come on.
when i turn ignition on it will flash a few time's then stay on.
the manual says to see a ford dealer, but if it's an easy fix that i can do my money will stay in my wallet & not the dealers.
has anyone any idea on how to fix it ?

has anyone a clue on how to fix it?
or is it off to the dealer to shell out $ for a quick fix?

probably will be logging a low voltage reading. Leave it and it will switch off it self after X number of key turns

Have a look at the sticky in the interior forum - check the link for the doco.
Most likely it will be code 52, which you can reset - provided the pins are fitted in the diagnosis connector (some EL's don't have them).

Check fuse. May be blown. if so, fit new fuse. Yiou then have to delete the code, and this is done by connecting two terminals in the diagnosis connector. I cant remember which ones, (very helpfull aren't I) but I do know one is the bottom extreme l/h one (B) and I THINK the other is the "M" terminal, 4 or 5 across the top from thr left. You have to turn the ignition on, and then connect the two terminals, and wait for 5 short, quick " beeps". If you can't find out the two terminals, I can find out for you, but you will have to wait until tomorrow night.

being a late EL type lane, you might find you cant reset the light. Either see Ford or wait till it clears itself.
