Dont think you want them any bigger than the exhuast ports... You'd be suprised what a 2.5in exhaust can flow

MORE WORRIES!!!

:D:D:D:D

sorry bout all the pics...

As you all prob know is that the super sallon TASCO cars use the EMS stinger.

I found a base map for the falcon :D

FIRSTLY...
note the set up pages, "trigger pull up resistor". Mine is turned off but the SS one is on.
Also the difference between the sync sensor, mine is on hall but the ss one is mag
and the ignition time scale difference, mine is 40 the ss one is 50

Secondly, check the timing difference!
Is it coz one of my settings is wrong?

I cant see how there could be that much difference as my EL is simular to the EA/EB's

HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

k, thanks to CHEF we figured out some stuff...

TRIGGER PULL UP SENSER is used mainy with crank angle senser's like with the EF's/AU's, not as much with dizzzzzys. Gives a stronger signal.

The mag and hall senser is a bit confusing, im 99% sure the falcoons run a hall senser?
not a mag, and if so why do they hve it set to mag with the ss cars???

Injector time scale still is a mystory...spooky!

But we figured that the TRIGGER EDGE should be set to the negitive side, mine has been set to the positive side :S
This is correct due to it being a hall....rite???
wonder what changes it will make ....?

goin for a quick spin to try it out.

hehe, live and learn!

Im running EMS8860 in my ED XR6.
But the syncsensor is set to Mag, Tigger Edge +, No dwell, cold crank 80%, Trigger Pull up resistor ON.

Cold start my car is as good as it was with the stock ECU, starts on the 2nd or 3rd crank and idles fine and can be driven straight away.

Ingition is similar to the Super Saloons

Tuning is thanks to Tony Goodlich.

ahh yeah, i got mine tho tony too ;)

im guessing there must be differences between the EA/ED's and the el's :?

i got my cold start at about 75% and can now be driven rite away.

You ever tried running more timing?

Tony Goodlich here
The sync can be set to anything as it is not used, only the trigger is used as EA-ED and EL only have the trigger off the dizzy.

Good to see you guys trying to get the most out of the EMS8860. With my turbo ED Falcon I am getting close to 600km out of the tank with a combination of City/highway driving all thanks to the latest tuning software "Tune Analyser" on the EMS 8860. Just tune the cruising points to 15.5 A/F ratio and have 40 to 45 degrees advance on cruise and gives great economy. With over 400+rwhp at the moment its great to have power /economy and drivability all together.

I run about 25deg at idle as I try to minimise the step of 40deg at 1250rpm at cruise as much as possible. If you say run 10deg then you have a 30 degree step which tends to make the power at crusing speeds of say 900 to 1250 erratic. Its a bit hard to explain but I have reason for running a high initial advance. The problem is if you go too high then it can give a fluctuating idle.
I run 15.5 up tp -30kpa 15A/F at -20kpa, 14A/f at -10, 13A/F at 0kpa then 12.5 at +kpa.

You could bump your cruise timing to 45deg. It seems to be the timing that helps with economy.

When I go for a economy run I have to drive like a p***y to get the good economy, but considering I run a big fuel pump and 550cc injectors, economy is still achievable. Running Lucas injectors helps a bit IMO
