Hi all, I could probably find an answer to this with a little searching but I'm at work atm and am a little pressed for time to research!

My BA on dedicated gas is having gauge problems, both the gauge itself and the range indicator. A couple of times it has dropped from around 300kms (half tank) to zero and started flashing low fuel lights and beeping as they tend to do when you run low, then it slowly went back up to normal. But now it is showing the tank to be fuller than it is, as when I start the car it steadily increases until it shows a full tank, or near enough to. If anyone knows what causes it to go bonkers like that, is it an easy fix or do I need to call someone who knows what they're doing?

Thanks in advance.

The left sender for the left hand tank on my BF ute was $120 from ford, I got quoted up to 160 from gas places.
