Just had a "run" on these and have exhausted supplies.... faster than expected.

I have ordered all the bits for a new batch.
Should have more available around mid June.

I'll post a message in this thread once availability is restored.

1. If I remember correctly, they were priced at $89.
2. From muzza's last post...after mid june when he gets the parts in
3. yes
4. uhhhh i think it was about 30cm or more?
5. yes
6. i don't get what you mean? it just does flashes of light and makes beeping noises...you'd have to count the number of beeps to make out what code is spat out...once you buy it, it will tell you everything on how to do it.

GREAT PIECE OF EQUIPMENT....well worth the money.

phong =P~

Gogetta....Answers to your questions:-

1. I will PM you the price... I have a specific reason why I do not publish a price here (PM me for explanantion). Has been same price to all Fordmods members... you are welcome to check any who have purchased.
2. mid June, as advised above.
3. yes and comes with a 3m test lead so pump can be triggered closer to the action.
4. one metre
5. Yes
6. Not a lot of interest so is not a priority... no ETA at this stage.

Hope that answers...... :) but more info:-

Suits Six cylinder and V8 models EB2 to EL with the 20pin diagnostic connector beside the fuse panel.

Read/Clear Engine, Transmission, ABS and Airbag codes on EB2, ED, EF, EL, NC, NF, NL, DC, DF and DL Fords (except Airbag on late model EL (post 1998) and equivalent NF, NL, DF, DL.... only NGStar tester will do those)

Activate KOEO, KOER and Wiggle tests including cylinder balance tests on V8 engines.
The Unit provides Fuel Pump circuit active indication and provision for remote fuel pump activation (3m lead).

The unit fits neatly in your hand at 12.5cm high, 7cm wide and 2.3cm deep (excl knob and switch heights) ... there is a pic back on page 2 of this thread .... note that that was of of the first few units made in the new case.... the cable now comes into the middle of the unit .... the yellow thingie is a banana socket for the fuel pump remote trigger.

The unit comes with a 46 page booklet which provides:-
Detailled User Instructions for accessing, reading and clearing codes.
Full code tables for Engine, Trans, ABS and Airbag systems for all EB2 to EL models (incl Fairlane/LTD).

Also available is an optional adapter (incl booklet) to connect to XF, EA, EB vehicles.

BTW, I also make....
- Smartlock override module
- BA shifter adapter
- Gear Position indicator (for B&M shifter type installations)
- Window delay for EA-ED
- Tailgate auto lock for EA-ED wagons
- RPM switch for BBMs
- TPS trigger to NOS
- XA/B/C electric window repeaters.

Other automotive projects in the pipeline:-
BA/F tacho adapter
AU tiptronic
OBD1 display/PC interface.

The unit I make is to fit a BA shifter into a Eseries car. A bunch of guys on FordForums.com.au have fitted the BA shifter into thier cars (the shifter unit and cable to selector on the box).
My unit interfaces between the BA shifter and the transmission controller (either the ECU or Trans controller depending on I6 or V8 or model).

I do not have any real info on the physical fitment of the shifter... there are a few guys there that are authorities on that.

I makes the electronics which makes BA shifter work like it does in the BA (actually very similar as the guys wanted some variations to the actual BA workings).
It also has a single digit (alphanumeric) display option which displays which gear is selected. The display has two modes S= what the shifter selects, G= what the transmission is doing.
Display comes in 3 physical variants (self contained clear box, spare switch position for EA-D and little black box).

There has been interest in a BF version as well as a BFtoBA shifter retrofit.... will do that as soon as I get me little grubbies on a BF shifter unit....one is supposted to be being dropped off to me sometime soon.

In your case, you should be able to fit the floor shifter... it would be highly likely that Ford have the function there, just needs to be fitted and plugged.... Oh, an additional thought... check out the partnumber of the ECU to a floorshift version..if the ECUs are the same partnumber it is likely a floorshift should work in you car.

My unit should, in theory, work on BA but BF is substantially different and I would not expect it to interface.

WRT info... I have heaps from XR to AU (factory manuals and many parts catalogues etc) and almost nothing on BA or BF. The BA info is limited to the tacho interface I am working on and with BF I have sussed the shifter working signalling.

Hello, I will be making another batch in the next few weeks. Plugs into the Diag connector under the dash. Can select engine, transmission, ABS and Airbag. Codes are "read" by tone/lamp indicator. Am doing a set of instructions with codes this time as well. Just awaiting the connectors to come in from overseas. The unit will do EBII,ED,EF,EL (any of the big-white-connector-under-dash vehicles).

I have also made a version to do XF,EA,EB1 in the past as well.

If any interest let me know...

i'm interested too. how much?

Guys, just an update...

The leg is healing fine.
It is a bit of an ordeal getting to my workbench as it is downstairs and hard to get to with crutches or wheelchair.... but I've managed to get down there a few times now :)

All to bits have arrived and assembly is progressing. Should be completing the units for end of next week.

Thanks for your patience.
Best Regards.
