How hard would it be to include a error clear button?

Very interested in one of your units

It seems there is no solid answer as to when they changed the way the airbag computers spat out their error codes.
November '94 (approx) was the changover - for cars built prior to that the AirBag fault codes were shown without using the diagnosis connector.

Holbrookau,
there are three versions of access for the Airbag Diagnostics...
- very Early EF (up to Nov/Dec 1994) displayed the codes automatically after the self test. Need to use the Clear AirBag Memory pin to clear the codes
- EF to EL - need to trigger the code readout via the Clear AirBag Memory pin. Need to use the Clear ABS Memory pin to clear the codes.
- Late EL (somewhere in Q1 1998) AirBag can only be read via the "Star Tester" available at Ford Dealerships.

My little unit provides easy access to the Clear AirBag Memory pin via the switches on the unit and will only function as described above. All Engine/Trans/ABS codes can be accessed across all modes (EBII-EL).

All of this is covered in the 44 page User Guide that comes with the unit.
Copy of table attached. The "Note" refers to Airbag on 1998 ELs and the stuff I said above....

Hope that clarifies.
