IIRC, the MAP and Inlet air temp (IAT) were combined from the AU1's onward - shouldn't be difficult to adapt it though.

NP. I think the AU MAP sensor carries out both MAP and IAT functions. The EF/EL/AU BBM bottom halves are the same, but the AU top half doesn't have the IAT hole below the throttle body.
Easiest way is to leave the EF IAT sensor fitted, but not connected.

AU's have a t-map sensor under the throttle body. and series 1 and series 2-3 AU's have a different T-map sensor as well (dont ask me I didnt do it).

Would be interesting if it can be done easily but I think the looms are different... Also the EF's use a different coil pack to the AU as well. Remeber seeing something about plugs are different and had to change wires around???? although I think someone on FM has done it (why I dont know).

hope this helps you guys anyway

One thing that may be an issue is that when I installed an AU motor into an EF I had real trouble using the AU knock sensor. I had to return to the EF sensor and adapt it to the block. I did no further research on it but I suspected at the time that the characteristics may be different between the two.

my guess to use an AU ECU you would have to source all the AU add ons to the motor etc eg. inlet manifold, throttle body, coil pack and all sensors plus all the wiring changes.

no doubt it can be done but it would take some time to do.

End result tho would there be any power increase at the end of the day, I wouldnt think so but it might run smoother.

If I was going to all that trouble I would source a wreck and change all the running gear over and the looms etc. And I wouldnt bother doing it to an EF, I would do that to an XF and use an XH dash etc . Now that would be worth doing to have something different.

thats my 5 cents but each to there own
