nope, will be vin locked to the previous vehicle.
In order to use it on another vehicle it will have to have the factory tune reloaded to the origional, and then reset.

I reset the old vehicle to stock when I sold it. Do I still have to get the box reset also?

I am assuming that you mean SCT Xcalibrator 1. This is 10+ year old tech. These have been upgraded to 2 then to the XCal3 and noe the Xcal4. SCT does not supportthem anymore and I doubt that you will find a Tune that still uses it.
That aside, as long as the unit is OK and you know what the tune is, there should be no reason that you wouldn't be able to use it. But honestly, all they really are now, are a paper weight. |

Just tried the tuner box and it wont talk to the car. Its flashing a code for wrong vehicle.

Appears that it is still locked to the other vehicle.

Any help would b great Cheers even if its unlocked the tuner wont work, as the au 185kw manual = series1 and the 200kw auto would be a series 2 unless its a te50?.. series 1 to series 2 ecu's have different strategies and different calibrations to each other so tunes generally dont interchange, not to mention that the tune from the original car was manual, load it to a auto ecu and the trans will go into limp home mode.. |

Series 1 ecu's run at 2 clock cycles per second, series 2 + 3 are 3 ccps. So all timing maps are out by one third. Found that out the hard way running the AU2 on a s1 ecu. Not pretty. If anyone knows a place that still has the software for the flash 1, that would be good. Although I don't think SCT allow license for it anymore. 4 years ago I remember BPR having issues with flash1 tech, as SCT was slowly shutting down support for it.
