tryed search but i wasn't vague enough

i have a full set of AU injectors i know people have fitted them to ef/el etc etc wondering if they will fit into and EB fuel rail and fire the same?

what is the real beneifit of doing this?

more power or just a smoother injection sequence?

im putting ba injectors into my ef cause i am turbo'ing. i am not sure bigger injectors will do you any good cause there bigger. there for your injectors would be putting in too much fuel. unless get your car tuned i dont think it will do any good.

the au injectors will fit fine and run ok..

ive got them in my car..
im running el manifold and ecu with the au injectors ..
i know atleast 2 other members on this site that use them.

i dont think you will gain anything unless your pushing high hp or your engine is running to lean..

I fitted them 2 hours ago at sunset took 15 minutes and lost a bolt (well i know were it is siting between the engine and the manifold :P) and yeah the car seems to have a small amount of pickup and runs smoother..

so do these flow the same what is the go?

the ea/eb ones flow 18.25 ib/hr
the el ones flow 18.15lb/hr
and the au ones flow about 20 lb/hr..

i noticed a nice improvement in throttle responce and torque..
i mainly put them in mine as it seemed to be running a bit to lean(white spark plugs) and had issues with pinging.. it runs great now no more pinging and the plugs are now a nice greyish brown..

could that be a blocked fuel system tho? did you know the injectors were too small for your application?

i didnt think there would be an issue with the el ones being to small as i am using a factory ecu ect..
mine had reconditioned el injectors in it but aparently due to my au engine having high comp using them with the el ecu had endless pinging issues.??

there may have been something else causing my pinging?
but using the au ones seemed to fix the problem..

Is worth picking up a second-hand set of AU injectors or just forking out the money to buy them brand new?

should really dyno test before and after with other injectors to see if its really helping your car or flooding the s**t out of it, instead of relying on seat of the pants judgment......

Has anyone any problems with AU injectors not delivering enough fuel when they're used with a standard 250kPa fuel regulator?

After fitting a Wade 1636 cam, vernier gear, modified head & better exhaust, I had the cam dialed in & engine dynoed. I was told that, at idle, the fuel is just trickling out of the injectors. When the fuel pressure is increased, it idles better. Cruising at 100 km/h, the car feels like it's running lean.

Is it necessary to upgrade the fuel pump if an XR6 fuel reg is used? The ECU is just standard.

I also noticed the motor ran smoother with the reco AU XR6 injectors.

Um i installed the AU injectors on wednesday today is now friday and i have driven my car like a young hoon (speeding small spinning the wheels stuff (private road land)etc etc ) and my girlfriend/missus drove it sensibly mother and child around town s**t and no dramas as yet doesn't seem to be starved of fuel or flooding etc etc it has a small miss but i think i have a dodgey spark plug or lead not from injector...

the throttle seems to be alot more smoother and responsive and even my missus found that as well
