Okay so I've been looking all afternoon for some I.for on the adjustable shift kits you can do. First of all I've heard that after a week or so they no longer work and that it makes your car chew fuel.. As well I'd like to know if anyone can give me a step by step guide to doing it.

Here's a thread with all the info u need:http://www.fordmods.com/ford-4l-and-6-cylinder-f1/shift-kit-info-compiled-t84386.html

As to chewing fuel.... That's called throttle management!!
I made/installed one on my eb when I had it, I had it in there until I sold the car and it never missed a beat (about 6 months) make the adjustable one that way you can set the shift firmness to how you like it but I wouldn't have it set to max all the time.

Edit:
Just realized your asking about the adjustable version.
