Engine starts runs then ABS light comes on and very bad mis, have changed plugs still same

Time to change the leads as well.
Do you have traction control? The traction control is hooked into the ABS on them.
Stuffed leads cause all the symptoms you are having.
Been there and done that.

Sorry my mistake it is the Traction Control light that is coming on and then it misfires

Still sounds like leads.
Had the exact same issue in the missus's 5.0 S3 Ghia.
Would start up then develop a massive miss. Car would shake and hardly move.
Did plugs and leads and it fixed it straight away.

Thanks for that it was the fuel injector plugs off 4/7/8, stuck them back on with super glue and alls well
