Just been looking at the sensor data with a proper data logger and IAT intake air temp sensor comes up as 118. engine warm

When disconnected it then shows the number 197 and throws DTC saying IAT input too high.

is 118 around the right area does this represent degrees C or F or a number unique to the ecu?

this is the sensor thats right behind the Mad before the throttlebody.

my max Ellery books a just bloody useless on these topics.

With the data the ecu makes from the Camshaft position sensor is this used for engine ignition timing or Fuel injector timing or both?

I have noticed when loosed the 1/2inch bolt and rotated to the drivers side then engine smooths out a bit.

Should have called this one Windsor ecu and Engine sensors tech queries.

The CID sensor signals start of fuel injection to the EEC. The EEC does not need to know this for ignition which, being wasted spark does not matter which stroke it fires on.
