hey guys just a quick question i change my EL XR6 injectors to AU injectors along with the standard AU fuel rail with the standard 270kpa fuel reg in it. ive been having dramas with pinging ive replace most things but havent yet to change the fuel regulator. now would it hurt to throw in AU XR6 350kpa regulator in it cause i cant seem to find a 300kpa AU regulator? i was thinking its running abit lean under hard throttle with the standard fuel reg?

Unless you have an AFR reading to prove it's lean, do not fit the 350kpa reg.

If you like fouled plugs, clogged cats, worse performance and poor fuel economy, go for it. But if you are looking for the best performance, you should make fuel system changes based on data. Borrow a Wideband or get a dyno run showing AFR and make a change based on facts.

when i change the injectors over to AU injectors i realise that the holes didnt recess in completely on EL rail due to the fact that EL to AU rails were different or the injectors so i decided to keep it matching and did not noticing that the regs were different. i think i may still have mine laying around somewhere and ill have a look for it when i get some time.

Au injectors fit fine in an e series rail. Lots of people have ran them without an issue

And conversely BA injectors work fine in an AU VCT fuel rail 8-)

Yep, but he needs to reestablish a baseline setup - E series rail 300 kpa reg with AU injectors should be fine.
For pinging, I'd be looking at timing advance and the fuel octane.
