Looking at updating my ECU with either a factory EL xr6/Ghia ECU or J3 eliminator chip off EBAY. Just want to know how much earlier will the auto change at WOT with a 3.23diff compared to xr6/ghia 3.45diff.

Gidday.

I ran the EL Ghia Ticky ECU with 3.27 gears for a fair while before installing a 3.45 diff. I didn't notice any appreciable difference in change up speeds.

What I did notice was that when slowing down, the down shift to 1st seemed slightly out of synch compared to when I put the 3.45s in.

It was all good.

Ben.

So say around 5km/hr difference in up changes with the 3.27diff?

I never noticed a difference that way.

When I put in the EL Ghia Tickford ECU, the ECU changes so many things that goes unoticed.
