hi guys
firstly i want to say say thanks to all who contributed as it was a great help although i didn't know wtf was being said half the time, lol. what i wanted to know is, as you guys have been playing with the ICC's has anyone been able to clear the "code error" on a premium sound ICC with a OBD2 tool. the car is a BF XR8 ute. i changed the cd player because mine didn't work. i have a chinese clone obd2 v1.3 and wanted to know if i could use my tool or is it still not possible, if not what tool/connector and software would i need to do this? please and lastly would there be anyone apart from ford who could do this for me down here in vic i don't mind traveling or paying, i don't want to take it to ford on princiable, as they didn't fix all the other codes and were very un-helpful last time. thanks andrew. |

Awesome stuff guys but its all a bit confusing for me lol. I've got a 2008 BFII XR6T Ute and its got premium sound and dual stage climate, I'm putting some gauges up top where the analogue clock is. I read back on page 13 that the newer ICC are capable of having the clock enabled in it.
Would anyone be willing to enable it for me for a few beers or something? I'm located around Eltham in Victoria, and I'm willing to come to you. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers Keelan |

auMatt is a mexican. No idea if he's close to you though.
Even though you have a late model BF, and this feature was introduced late in the SY, there's no guarantee that the clock could be enabled on your ICC. Might be worth a try though. Lukeyson |

yeh its worth a try i reckon, no damage can be done if it doesnt work. No wiring or anything has to be altered in my car does it? Just plugs into the OBD port?

I'm hearing rumours that auMatt might be on the verge of creating some software that might be able to do an ICC Security Code using a cheap ELM327 scantool.

Is there a noobe version of this thread, that simply states which connectors and software can be combined with the identified falcon specific codes? Obviously you guys have worked it all out, so I'm thinking somebody would have put it all together somewhere....maybe even a wikipedia page would be nice to share around...

Hi all (and especially Lukeyson. )
I have Ford Escort (Europe) and his airbag is wired only to pin 7 on DLC. I would like to do some utility for airbag and abs. I tried connect to airbag module, but without success. Tried 5 bit init (7,o,1) with all addresses (0x00 - 0xFF) without success. I generated 5 baud directly in Windows, so timing is not perfect, but I hope it is enough exact. Also I tried Lukeyson's tip (from this thread, I think) "64 58 f5 22 02 00 + (iso)CN" (without any 5 baud init) and nothing returned again. Please, do you know something about initialization process ? Thanks in advance. Tomas

Hi guys i am a new member and have read though this thread quite a number of times alot of interesting informaion. I have a carpc setup in my 05 BA and have DashCommand installed connected to the car with a ODBPros scan tool.
I have everything working correctly, but I am after a couple of PID's that arn't standard. From what i have read Lukeyson has been able to extract information using hyperterminal by changing the modes etc. Is it possible that I would be able to have DashCommand 2.0 perform a similar task to get Oil Pressure and Fuel Rail Pressure and other special Ford PID's? any suggestions would be great, keep up the good work guys. |

In short no, you can't. 1. There's no fuel pressure sensor at all. 2. The oil pressure switch isn't part of the OBD2 system, and the oil pressure gauge on FPV's also isn't part of the OBD2 system You can't read them because they're not there.

Thanks for that mate, yea i had a feeling it wasn't going to happen. Just wanted to double check with you guys before I go out and buy a real gauge for oil pressure.

Lukeyson wrote: Just when I thought there was no more left to learn, I made a new discovery the other day. In the same way that we know how to toy with the Dials on an ICC using an OBD2 tool (ELM, J2534 etc), I found that there are settings in nearly ALL modules that can be fiddled with the same way. I already knew some of the BEM stuff - like turning on wipers and the wiper washers etc. But my recent discovery included settings in the Airbag Module, the ABS Module, the HIM, the Park Aid Module and the ICC. The ICC was the most interesting of all, because it uncovered a Display Diagnostics mode. The Ford Tech boys probably knew about this all along, but now we know how to trigger it funnally with the ELM style tools. I could also trigger pretty much all of the audio buttons - including the 6 screen presets and the steering-wheel buttons. It was fun ejecting CD's, changing the volume and powering the thing off and on all from by lab pc. But then small things usually do amuse me.... I have only tried this on a DZ High Series ICC, I've yet to see what's available in the Low Series MCC units. Lukeyson Any chance you could post the details about BEM, Airbag Module, HIM, PAM, ICC and any others? |
