I am completing my NGV lpg vapour injection install and needs to connect to a tach signal, Gentek said to connect it to this wire

Quote:
Pastel greeny blue thick wire in rectangle black plug of bracket of ecu

not very descript to say the least, I tried to loctate this wire but unable to find it. He did not respond to my request for clarification.

Anyone have any ideas on the wire code he may be referring to?

Tach signal is supplied via canbus. CAn you connect to a injector driver? This is a brown wire next to a grren wire and a light green wire on ecu plug.

Are you referring to wire code 558?
That is what I would expect and can easily do that and have that as a contingency.
Without knowing the purpose of the line it is hard to determine if this is OK.

Talked to another installer and he said there is a tach signal inside the loom to the ECU but does not reach the connector. He described the same size and coloured cable....

Turns out that the intended signal is igniter coil 1 and the elusive wire is a furphy, thanks for your assistance.
