Can anyone tell me if replacing igniton switch/steer column in a BA mark 2 futura will cause me any dramas with the immobiliser or BCM.Any help or remarks will help as getting a reliable answer from my local dealer is nigh on impossible.Cheers people...

What are you actually trying to do???

One of my mates has a BA XR6 mk2 sedan,he had troubles with the ignition switch. When you would drive and then hit a few bumps in the road it would cut out.Found it to be the ignition switch.Ford wouldnt cover it under warranty and was going to cost my friend almost $1000 to fix.So we replaced the ignition switch with a AU series 3 one and does the job.Just had to patch the wiring in and hasnt had any dramas with it.Done this almost a year ago.

cheers
