Did some research last night on the flashing required to bypass the BA ECU security system ( I think it's an absolute rip off, but that's partly why i'm here )

The software " Advantage III " for ford tuning, it lists that it's able to adjust hundreds of parameters but what about things such as bypassing SmartShield... tricking it into thinking it has a different drive-train ect... ( all conversion related ) The only reason i bring this up, i don't see the point in spending $400 for one file if i'm able to purchase their software for $350 and adjust said things needed in order to run the ECU standalone.

I wasn't able to find much on their software, exactly what " parameters " it gives one access to and if you can actually export the file to upload to their flash tuner hardware. So if anyone has any knowledge on this, please don't hesitate to share.
