Hi folks, need a bit of help here. I have a EF GLi, and I wish (need) to replace the BCM. Now I believe there are two colours for the low series BCM, grey and black.
I am not sure which one is in my car, but is there any difference between the two?? Also, if I replace the current BCM with another, does the smartlock have to be "re-tuned", or is simply a swap? Cheers |

If you take your dash facia off, you will be able to see the plastic mounting points of the BEM and thus reveal the colour of it - a 5 minute exercise

I presume you are talking about the ashtray surround.

Well you start with taking the radio surround (ashtray surround), then the larger dash facia - about 7 or so philips head screws. Disconnect wires to central locking button, rear demister and petrol / boot switches.
Will all become intuitive once you take things apart. Good luck with it ! |
