hey guys need help! dont no much about eec done all usual to au fairy v8 thinking about changing cam to something sim to crane 2031 will EEChandle it ok want to do something with eec to take advantage of mods only things i know of over here is capa flash tuner 2000$ dynoed,seems a lot$, or unichip 1350$ ? wat do you guys reckommend best value with best adjustments, OR should i just leave it alone

The ecu will re-learn itself. You might want to reset it for faster learning tho. Take the negative off the battery and hold you foot on thje break for a min or two.

what model car do you have?
The 2031 is designed for 1.7:1 rockers. Stock are 1.6's so you would want the 2030 cam. You will also need stiffer springs (2030 has 544thou ex lift) and possably longer pushrods. EEC4 V8's (EB==>ED) will idle like a dead stocker with a 2030/2031, you will strugle to hear a diffrence. EEC5's will have a rougher idle than stock, but still very very sedate/smooth. the 2030 in a stock motor (E7TE's + HO) will net you somewhere in the region of 135rwkw with a full exhaust. Change out the HO manafold for something decent and strap some GT40P/AFR's on it and you will nail 200 without too much trouble.

its an au fairmont its had 1.7 rr fitted plus all usual mods headers etc ,dyno man reckons results are varied for au compared to ba"s 2000$ is a lot of money for flash tuner ,is there a better option
