Iv just picked up an 06 bf mk2 xr6 n/a and it came with an sct flash tuner (3000au) now the bloke i brought it from seemd to no wat he was on about (i dont) n was saying he had a lil play with the tuner and he recons had it running sweet, well this is my first barra but it seemd to lack power when planting the foot, like it wasnt kicking bak a gear? And sounded a lil rattly under the bonnet ( was tuned for 95 he was running 98?) Well iv managed to set tuner up but its all fully customisable with no pre set tunes.. n i dont wanna f**k wit s**t i didnt no, nd not knowing what the old owner has done to it i decided to return ecu to stock, well it seems to actually b more responsive now and rattles gone?
Anyway key to the story, is there or does anyone know of a "guide" as such so i can tune it myself nd it actually improves performance? , or is it pointless having it on a completly stock n/a? Sorry if stupid question n thanks in advance. B.M |

Sounds like he didn't know what he was doing.
To use the SCT correctly you will really need to take it to a tuner that knows what he is doing with SCT. Tuner with a Dyno would be perfect. |

Getting a tune on a stock BF isnt really worth it, wait until you get some extras on there and then go for a proper tune. even with an exhaust gains wont be that great for the money you will pay.
