I was just curious on how long it took people to do an MPFI conversion on their EAs?? Thanks David

takes a weekend to do it properly (taking time) i was keen to do this but never got around to it but since your car is a manual ( i assume) should be s**t easy for you... search the mods and there are countless (5 newbie ones from me )

If you know what you are doing and have all the RIGHT parts it could be done in about 4-5 hours I reckon. I'd allow a full weekend though.
I'm doing it on my EA and so far it's been about 2 months lol. Though that's only cause I CBF, I've only spent about 40 mins on it and that was ripping all the CFI crap off and putting it in the bin. I just need gaskets and a few of the heater hoses and AC bracket to put it all together. I can't drive my car anyway so just concentrating on getting the body strait. |

G'day!
I tackled my MPFI conversion today! Started at about 10.am, and tipped fuel into the new tank at about 6pm and first piston over, away it went! I'll post pics tomorrow when its light. Thanks to everyone who posted conversion info David

Hey Tim,
i was at work today, we painted the outside wall of the factory.. Finally got rid of that horrid old white paint.. But, im not actually back at work until the 16th. MPFIs going well, heap more torque, power, and driveability. Only drama i'm having, is the second hand ECU im using (which is an actual MPFI-Manual ECU) seems to have no advance parameters in it, and i have to have the base timing on about 30 degrees at idle for it to perform.. Yet, there is no pinging, and it starts first piston over. Strange. I thought the balancer may have spun, but, i checked the cam timing when i had the cover off, when i did the EFI swap.. I'll see Paul tomorrow, and try another ECU in it i think PS. Did you notice i bought that fairmont off Paul?? Cheers David
