ok,
i want to get a chiptorque for my car as they claim power will go from 168kw to 188kw or something, and increased economy and everything else....
my question is, if i get a chip now, and later an exhuast will the car make use of the exhaust or will i need to get the chip retuned?

(and its for a 6cyl VCT au1 fairmont)

and sorry if this has been said before, i know alot of people say that exhast first chip later sort of thing..

may aswell get the exhaust first. as it will give some more power first off. plus at least people will notice what youve done to the car

id get an exhaust first, depends wat & if u care about wat power u want from it. u can get some pacemaker extractors and a single 2.5'' system. id do the exhaust 1st, then get the capa flash tuner as you've got an AU. flash tuner much better than a chiptorque. think they're about 800-1000 tuned??

ok, thanks

alright, i think i'll get the exhaust first, a set of pacemaker comp 4499's i think thats what they are called, i believe these make better power though out the rev range, better torque down low as well with smaller primaries and mached length. as far as an exhaust goes, if i get a cat back, 2.5" redback exhuast with 2 mufflers no reso, would that be legal? but i want to here something, not the dull constant droan from the exhuast. as far as high flow cats go, i here the stock flow quite well?

Thats pretty much whats in my head, does that sound about right or do i have something fu*ked up??

cheers

does the standard heat sheild fit over those extractors, and does anyone have a price that i should aim towards, don't really wanta get ripped off.

thanks again

u can get fairly cheap paccies on ebay. fitting shouldnt cost more than 100 bucks. u can keep ur cat and get it opened up to 2.5'' to save a bita money. then just get the rest of the exhaust in 2.5'' from the paccies, maybe use 1 muffler and a resonator or hot dog at the back.
