Hi guys not sure if im in the right bit - my cousin fiance has told me i can get a ecu chip that plugs straight into the normal ecu that will give me crap loads of extra power - im just wondering how much can you buy these for and where i can get them from? because his contact has shut up shop now.

if your motor is stock and you get a flash tune it wont give you jack s**t power maybe a coupla KW and more economy. If you run any aftermarket cam you will need a flash tune then.

Atm its basicaly stock all i have is extractors, high flow cat, 2 1/2inch exhaust plus a wide mouth CAI kit i am planning on putting a bigger cam on in the next few weeks hopefully - flashtune is that the samething as a chip? how much would i be looking a for the flashtune and does ne1 have a rough price of a cam? its a 99 au forte

nfi on price of one, but my mate has one in his BA XR6, and it makes it drive a s**t nicer and goes alot harder too.
althogh its in a BA and could be due to the fly by wire s**t....

G&D at Dandenong do them and do them well.
I've had a flash tune since about Feb 06 and it makes a hell of a difference. Cost is variable depending on tuning time however you will be looking at about $1200 for the flash tuner box and custom tuning. You can go cheaper (about $600 or $700) for the flash tuner box and generic tunes though. |

You can start with the generic tune and then pay to have custom tunes any time in the future. They are the identical box, the price difference is if you have base generic tunes or something custom done you your car. |
