Can someone clarify this the chiptorque chip doesn't work out the auto to manual conversion problems? example: high idle, trans temperature, thermo fans staying on etc.
(i have an eb xr6 auto and cannot find a manual eb/ed xr6 ecu for the life of me so have to use my existing one) have tried all over australia if anyone has one available I'd be willing to buy 0415959134 is number. |

Ive heard it can, but the easy way to find out for sure would be to call them and ask.

thanks for the reply,
tried a local reseller in perth and the doushbag didn't know anything said to call back in a week!! that's what happens when you live in perth ( how's that for service bloody fuel injection shop) will try main office in queensland tomorrow. With just basic mods exhaust, extractors, filter, manual conversion ( best mod haha) would the chiptorque be justified or should i just keep waiting for a stock ecu to come up? thankyou |

Yer but i think the Flashtune for EF/EL will just be a chip like chiptoque.. from what i have read, and not plugged into the diagnostic port. (correct me if im wrong....) Good to see your happy with the product.[/quote] That's correct, in simple terms EA-EL do not have OBD-2 capability and do not have the ability to be reflashed by the SCT flash box. Therefore they have a chip that plugs into the J3 port on the back of the EEC instead. EF and EL could be reflashed if you add the required wiring to the EEC but SCT are not doing that for obvious reasons. AU-up have OBD-2 and therefore have the required connector to reflash the PCM.
